"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. -' Proverbs 22:6.
Our Children's Ministry department, led by Riquel Bell and Keiva Dennis, takes this scripture to heart when interacting and working with the children in our church. Every Sabbath, we have a special moment in our worship service that invites children to sit up front and listen to a brief Bible story or life lesson communicated through a puppet story or by a church leader.
We also have children's church every 1st Sabbath of the month for children between the ages of newborns to 9. While the regular 11am church service is taking place, children will gather in our Fellowship Room for a service filled with praise, prayer and song that keeps them engaged the whole time. Healthy snacks are always provided.
For one week during the summer, we have Vacation Bible School in the evening with fun games and activities for our youth. For summer 2014, the theme was 'Weird Animals', which centered around Jesus’ love for the world and how he loves us when we are afraid, left out, different, misbehave, or don’t understand.
So we invite parents in the community and church to get your children involved so they can grow up strong in the Christ!
