Women are important instruments to God's saving work and that is evidenced by the many stories of ordinary women, playing extraordinary roles that He has included in His Holy Book, the Bible. Mark 7 and Luke 8 tell us that Jesus ministered to women. As He did so, their self-worth and value were restored. Jesus commissioned the revitalized women to go and serve others, using their God-given talents and opportunities for His purpose.
It is from this spiritual base that Women's Ministries, led by Yvonne Brandford seeks to encourage, nurture and empower all women to minister to others, both within the church as well as to non-members out in the community. Women are an influential force in the church; their attitudes and actions toward others help shape the present and impact the future. When women are ministered to, the church, their families and the communities are ministered to as well. That is the outcome that the Seabrook Women's Ministries Department seeks as we plan monthly programs and events.
