Church Restoration Celebration

This Sabbath, we are praising and thanking God for enabling our Seabrook Church Family & Friends to provide the resources in order to improve his campus over the last 3 years. This could not have been done without the dedication and hard work of our Design Committee, Administrative Staff, Pastoral Leadership, and Building Contractors. We would like to take an opportunity to show our appreciation.
Celebrating the upgrades to our church campus is only one part. This is also a time to highlight our "Restoration" Ministries for which our building exists.
Counseling Ministry:
Our team of professional counselors provides sound spiritual, ethical counseling for individuals, couples, and families of Seabrook SDA Church and the surrounding community. This Christian based approach incorporates mental and physical elements to counseling, while focusing on the foundation from which we form our identity and find restoration, as they pertain to mental health. We value and respect the diversity of each individual as we explore their therapeutic needs.
“Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength” (Isaiah 26:4 KJV).
Health Ministry:
The Health Ministry is a team of dedicated health practitioners and enthusiasts who are committed to making health care relevant and important in our church and local community. The Heath team serves the community by encouraging individuals to live balanced lives – physically, socially, spiritually and mentally. Health and temperance involve many aspects, including the relationship between faith and health. Every year, this team provides health screenings at community events and shares health information at seminars and workshops.
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Assimilation Team:
The Assimilation/Data Entry team receives the “Next Step” cards of all those who have made life-changing decisions during our worship services and coordinates their follow-up with the pastors and appropriate ministry leaders. In addition to this, the team is also committed to reaching out to our visitors each week who submit a “Next Step” card, creating a personal connection.
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (1 Corinthians 12:27).
Personal Ministries:
The primary expression of service of our Personal Ministries team is to ensure that each person who has made the “Next Step” decision to begin Bible studies or to be baptized is connected with an elder or spiritual mentor. Those serving in this capacity will lead each individual to seek a deeper spiritual relationship with God through intentional discipleship.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19, 20).
Growth Groups:
Since building relationships is an essential function of the church, our growth groups provide the opportunity to discuss Bible-based topics designed to help each of us grow in wisdom and understanding, increase our faith, pray together, and make new friendships. God wants us to be a people sharing Christ, meeting each other’s needs, and reaching out in love to the world. Growth groups consist of a gathering of 12-15 people who meet at convenient locations for once a week for 10 weeks.
“And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ” (Acts 5:42 KJV).
