We’re partnering with Maryland State Delegate Alonzo T. Washington to hold a Back-to-School Backpack Drive! Our goal is to distribute 300 backpacks filled with new school supplies for children whose families are facing financial hardship.

Register for a Backpack!
If your child (attending kindergarten to 12th grade) is in need of a backpack, please fill out the online registration form below. Filling out a registration form doesn’t guarantee your child will receive a backpack, but it will help us plan for how many children to expect. Backpacks will be provided on a first come first serve basis. You can come pick-up a free backpack for your child at the Seabrook SDA Church parking lot on Sunday, August 6 at 1:00 pm. Your child must be present in the car in order to receive a backpack.

Donation Drop-Off
We want to collect enough supplies to distribute at least 300 backpacks and we invite you to participate! If you are able to help, please consider purchasing a new backpack or making a monetary donation which will be used to purchase school supplies for each backpack that is donated.

How to Volunteer
We need help packing hundreds of backpacks with school supplies and helping distribute them on the day of the event. If you are interested in volunteering at one of the dates listed below, please email communications@seabrooksda.org with your name, phone number and date(s) you wish to volunteer. You may volunteer the whole time or any hours of your preference.
